Dr Charlotte Ashton-Heinius
VET / OWNERCharlotte is the principal / owner of Woombye Veterinary Surgery. Born and raised rurally, graduating from the University of Queensland in 1978, she brings a vast wealth of experience in both small and large animals to the practice. Charlotte has had an interesting career practising in many countries before finally settling down in the year 2000 to develop the fledgling practice. She has two daughters with husband Joachim. The little spare time left available may find her 'cooking up a storm' for family and friends.
Dr Heather Rafter
ASSOCIATE VETHeather is our Associate Veterinarian who graduated from the University of Queensland in 1986. She has been part of the Woombye Vet team for a number of years, working part time. In her spare time Heather can be seen running in the early hours of the morning around Buderim where she lives with her family.
Dr Chris Small
SONOGRAPHERChris offers a dedicated mobile diagnostic ultrasound service. This ensures prompt diagnosis and better patient care through continuity of management. Chris has been an integral and valued part of our diagnostic team since 2014.
Diana Batson
VET NURSEDiana is originally from New Zealand and moved to Australia in 1983. She has worked for Woombye Veterinary Surgery since 2007 and is a Qualified Veterinary Nurse, having completed her studies in 1991. Her spare time is spent mostly with her family, although weather permitting will often be found pottering in the garden. Maya is a new addition to her family who they have recently adopted and is already very loved.
